BIT-CCTV
Explore our industrial-grade, fully certified pan-tilt positioning systems and accessories engineered for heavy loads, high speeds, and extreme weather endurance.
Established in 2005, Blue Icon (Tianjin) Technology Co. Ltd. is a national high-tech company specializing in the design, engineering, manufacturing, and global sales of premium CCTV surveillance equipment. Our expertise spans heavy-duty pan-tilt heads/positioners, long-range laser PTZ cameras, IR thermal imaging PTZ cameras, dual-vision PTZ cameras, camera housing enclosures, and complex mounting brackets.
Under our renowned international brand BIT-CCTV (founded in 2007), we have pioneered hardware and software systems to ensure precise, zero-backlash positioning for cameras weighing from 3kg up to 150kg. Driven by strict quality control and technology development, we invest 10% of our annual sales revenue directly into our advanced R&D processes.
Modern surveillance requirements have shifted from basic static monitoring to active, long-range tracking systems integrated with Artificial Intelligence (AI) analytics. At the heart of these active tracking platforms is the Pan-Tilt Unit (PTU) or positioner. Historically, camera mounts were simple mechanical brackets designed to secure housing to a wall. Today, a PTZ camera mount must act as a highly stabilized, smart positioning node capable of driving payloads exceeding 100kg with sub-degree accuracy in high-wind and corrosive marine environments.
As a leading China manufacturer of pan-tilt units, Blue Icon utilizes two core mechanical drive architectures to serve diverse user needs:
Procurement departments in critical infrastructure, defense, and maritime logistics prioritize three main factors when selecting a pan-tilt zoom mount manufacturer:
Ingress Protection ratings of IP66 to IP68. Cast aluminum housings with specialized powder coating ensure resistance against acidic rain, salt spray, and extreme cold (-40°C to +70°C).
Continuous rotation requirements call for premium internal slip rings capable of transmitting Ethernet (GigE), high-frequency signals, and power without cable twisting or signal loss.
Support for universal Pelco-D/P protocols, RS485 interfaces, and modern IP/ONVIF commands, allowing drop-in compatibility with existing VMS platforms.

Features a high-precision stepper motor paired with a robust worm gear drive. Delivering 360° pan and ±60° tilt rotation with speeds up to 30°/s. Perfect for coastal defense, border posts, and forest fire detection systems.
Our smallest positioner, weighing only 3.5kg, handles payloads up to 3.5kg/7.7lb. Optimized for mobile setups, tactical tripods, and compact multi-sensor installations.
Achieves dynamic tracking speeds up to 100°/s. Driven by micro-step control algorithms, it ensures fast positioning and tracking for active threat defense and optical target tracking.
A flagship model built for heavy electro-optical payloads. Backed by ten years of field operations worldwide, it features a rugged, weatherproof body and reliable worm gear architecture.
Blue Icon designs robust pan-tilt mounts tailored to solve complex site-specific monitoring challenges.
From Light Duty (under 10kg) to Medium Duty (10-40kg) and Heavy Duty (above 40kg) applications. Engineered with precision encoders to enable remote angle feedback with 0.1° accuracy.
Designed for horizontal rotation applications where tilt adjustment is not required. Commonly deployed in radar scanning, outdoor directional antenna mounting, and omnidirectional security coverage.
Heavy-duty, weather-shielded housings featuring integrated heaters, blowers, wipers, and sunshields. Sized up to 18 inches to protect dual optical-thermal camera systems.
Since our inception in 2007, BIT-CCTV products have supported demanding surveillance installations in over 50 countries. Our sales networks span Europe, North America, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East, serving integration partners in public safety, defense, and maritime navigation.
We work closely with security system integrators, providing custom mounts, structural simulations, wind tunnel test data, and technical support to guarantee system safety and performance.
Backed by 50+ national patents and rigid manufacturing quality control.

To operate reliably in harsh offshore coastal environments and industrial chemical zones, material science plays a key role. Blue Icon is replacing standard die-cast aluminum alloys with marine-grade 5083 anodized aluminum and SUS316 stainless steel fasteners. Furthermore, our multi-stage fluorocarbon powder coating process meets ISO 12944 C5-M corrosion standards, ensuring our camera mounts withstand salt-spray exposure for over 1,000 hours.
Wind loads can cause microscopic deflections in pan-tilt structures, leading to image blur or tracking inaccuracies at long focal lengths. By integrating absolute optical or magnetic encoders directly onto the drive shafts, our newer positioners achieve real-time angular feedback resolution of 0.01°. Closed-loop control systems dynamically adjust motor torque to resist wind pressure, keeping target tracks aligned within the camera's field of view.
The combination of visible-light cameras, long-range thermal imagers, and millimeter-wave radars demands versatile, dual-mount configurations. Our custom-designed brackets, such as the Custom 200kg Load Heavy Duty Tripod, provide stable platforms that maintain mechanical alignment between different optical axes over years of thermal expansion and contraction cycles.

Worm gear drives use a threaded screw mechanism that inherently prevents movement of the camera mount when power is lost. This is useful for heavy payloads and high wind scenarios where position locking is required. Direct drive units connect the brushless motor directly to the axis, achieving higher movement speeds (up to 100°/sec) and zero backlash, making them ideal for dynamic tracking applications.
Payload capacity is calculated by summing the weights of all devices mounted to the plate (visible camera, thermal camera, housing, lens, and auxiliary lasers). The physical center of gravity of the payload must align close to the rotation axes of the PTU to prevent offset torque. We offer positioners with load capacities ranging from 3.5kg up to 90kg+ to accommodate various payload profiles.
Yes. Our maritime units feature cast aluminum housings coated with fluorocarbon powder coating that complies with ISO 12944 C5-M standards. They also feature SUS316 stainless steel hardware and double O-ring shaft seals to prevent salt air corrosion and moisture ingress.
Our positioning systems support standard serial protocols like Pelco-D and Pelco-P via RS485. They also integrate with modern network infrastructures, featuring IP connectivity and ONVIF profile compliance. This ensures seamless integration with global video management systems (VMS).
