BIT-PT510 is a small-size pan tilt unit with a top load capacity of 10kg/22lb featuring a high-precision stepper motor and self-locking worm-gear drive. The BIT-PT510 features 360° pan rotation and ±60° tilt rotation with speeds up to 30°/s. It is optimized for carrying heavy camera housings, spot lights, and directional acoustic devices in demanding outdoor applications such as border and coastal defense and forest fire monitoring.

Procuring heavy-duty positioning hardware requires evaluating key engineering metrics beyond just the maximum weight capacity. To prevent field failures in harsh remote environments, procurement officers should consider the following parameters:
Worm-gear drive assemblies inherently provide high self-locking holding torque. This means when power is turned off, the system will not drift under strong winds or unbalanced payloads. However, dynamic tracking requires high start-stop torque to overcome the payload inertia without losing motor steps.
Continuous 360-degree rotation requires using high-durability internal slip rings. The slip ring must be rated to handle high-bandwidth SDI signals, gigabit Ethernet, thermal sensor feeds, and power (up to 24VDC/10A) without introducing signal noise or impedance mismatch.
Outdoor deployments require aluminum-alloy die castings with marine-grade polycoat powder finishes. This prevents galvanic corrosion between dissimilar metals (e.g., stainless steel fasteners joining cast aluminum housings). Ingress Protection must be verified to at least IP66 or IP67 to prevent fine dust or driving rain from penetrating the seals.
